New Delhi, Jan. 11 -- Train services on the Airport Express Line of the Delhi Metro were regulated on Sunday morning after miscreants damaged signalling cables during an attempted theft, officials said.
According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), around 800 metres of signalling cables were cut in the midsection between Dhaula Kuan Metro Station and Shivaji Stadium Station. Although the cables were cut, the thieves failed to take them away. The cut cable pieces were later found near Metro Pillar Number 09 during inspection.
The damage disrupted the signalling system on the affected stretch. As a result, trains are running at a restricted speed of 25 kmph on the Up Line towards New Delhi between Dhaula Kuan and Shivaji Stadium sta...
