Ranchi, April 15 -- The Jharkhand cabinet on Wednesday approved a series of proposals covering education, infrastructure, governance and financial measures at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

Among key decisions, the cabinet approved schemes to promote emerging technologies through a state-level science and technology quiz, celebration of scientific events in technical institutions, and organisation of a Jharkhand Robotics Festival.

It also cleared the creation of three special courts at Ranchi, Dhanbad and Daltonganj under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
