New Delhi, Oct. 1 -- With an aim to nurture world-class biomedical research talent and promote interdisciplinary and translational research across India, the union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today approved the continuation of the Biomedical Research Career Programme (BRCP), Phase III, covering from 2025-26 to 2030-31.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw at a press conference here pointed out that the phase III aims to train over 2,000 students and postdoctoral fellows, generate high-impact publications, support patentable discoveries, and increase women's participation by 10-15%.
