New Delhi, Sept. 24 -- The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today approved the construction of 4-lane Sahebganj-Areraj-Bettiah section of the NH-139W in Bihar with a total capital cost of Rs 3,822.31 crore.

Addressing a press conference here, union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the project with a total length of 78.942 km, will be built on Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM).

Vaishnaw said the proposed four-lane greenfield project will improve connectivity between Patna and Bettiah connecting the North Bihar Districts of Vaishali, Saran, Siwan, Gopalganj, Muzaffarpur, East Champaran and West Champaran up to the areas along the Indo-Nepal border.
