New Delhi, Dec. 12 -- The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) on Friday approved the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for copra for the 2026 season, union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnav announced at a press briefing.
The MSP for Fair Average Quality milling copra has been fixed at Rs 12,027 per quintal, while for ball copra it is Rs 12,500 per quintal for the 2026 season. This marks an increase of Rs 445 per quintal for milling copra and Rs 400 per quintal for ball copra compared to the previous season.
"This decision aims to provide remunerative prices to copra cultivators and support the agricultural sector," Vaishnav said, highlighting the government's commitment to ensuring fair returns for farmers.
