New Delhi, July 2 -- Union Minister of Jal Shakti, CR Patil today inaugurated C-FLOOD, a unified inundation forecasting system, a web-based platform that provides two days' advance inundation forecasts up to village level in the form of flood inundation maps and water level predictions.
During the launch of the web system at an event here, Patil appreciated the collaborative efforts of Central Water Commission (CWC), C-DAC, and National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) under the National Hydrology Project (NHP) in operationalising this state-of-the-art flood forecasting dissemination system.
