Chennai, July 23 -- The days of hotels in Chennai paving the way for residential apartments or even hospitals are over.
However, brand changes do continue to happen in the Chennai hospitality scene with one more five star property on the Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR) likely to be taken over by another hospitality chain, industry officials told UNI.
They also said there is a good demand for mid-sized hotel rooms that give value for money and properties having about 20 rooms are also doing well.
Not only are the smaller players expanding within India, they are also looking overseas.
