Bengaluru, Aug. 5 -- Public transport services across Karnataka were severely disrupted today as employees of state-run transport corporations launched a statewide strike demanding better wages and service conditions. However, the agitation was suspended until August 7 following the intervention of the Karnataka High Court. The suspension was announced after a division bench comprising Chief Justice Vibhu Bakhru and Justice C M Joshi issued stern directions during the hearing of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL).
