Chandigarh, Feb. 1 -- Expressing deep resentment over the recently presented union Budget, farmer organisations in Punjab have announced a massive state-wide agitation starting February 5.

Accusing both the Central and State governments of betraying the farming community, the unions have planned to gherao the residences of Cabinet Ministers and ruling party MLAs across the state. A major demonstration is specifically slated to take place outside the residence of Punjab Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO in Amritsar.
