Aizawl, March 17 -- Mizoram's annual Budget for 2026-2027, amounting to Rs. 17,076.92 crore, received unanimous approval in the State Legislative Assembly, capping a 17-day sitting that blended legislative productivity with sharp political confrontation.

The month-long Budget Session, which began on February 17, was adjourned sine die by Speaker Lalbiakzama after the House completed its scheduled business.

The Supplementary Demands for Grants for 2025-2026 (Revised Estimate), presented by Chief Minister Lalduhoma on February 26 alongside the state Budget, had earlier been passed on March 3.
