Dimapur, Sept. 26 -- BSNL has selected 1,969 sites for the installation of its indigenous 4G network under the NE-II circle, covering Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, and Manipur.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will commission more than 97,500 4G mobile towers across the country, including those under the BSNL NE-II circle, from Jharsuguda in Odisha tomorrow, in commemoration of BSNL's silver jubilee year.

Addressing a press conference at the BSNL NE-II telecom circle office in Dimapur today, N. Murali, Chief General Manager, BSNL NE-II circle, said that out of the 1,969 sites, 128 sites have been planned under BSNL's 4G saturation project, covering 1,729 villages, 421 in Nagaland, 380 in Manipur, and 982 in Arunachal Pradesh.
