Solan, July 5 -- In a landmark step towards rural digital empowerment, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) yesterday launched the Amended Bharat Net Programme (ABP) in Himachal Pradesh, with the groundbreaking ceremony held in the Dharampur block of Solan district.

The ABP is funded by the Digital Bharat Nidhi, and is a next-generation upgrade of BharatNet, designed to deliver high-speed broadband connectivity nationwide. M/s ITI Ltd will implement the programme across the Himachal.
