Aizawl, April 22 -- A Border Security Force (BSF) personnel was taken into custody following a fatal collision involving his vehicle and a 12-year-old boy.
Police identified the victim as Lalawmpuia, a resident of Durtlang North locality and a student at Government. Durtlang Middle School-II. The boy was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a car driven by the BSF personnel around 5 PM on Sunday. Despite immediate medical attention, Lalawmpuia succumbed to his injuries, sending shockwaves through the community.
According to police, case under U/S 304(A)/279 of IPC was registered at Bawngkawn Police Station following the incident.
