Shillong, Nov. 22 -- Meghalaya's beauty cannot truly be captivated in words, but one has to be experienced, lived and felt to understand it , says Inspector General of the Border Security Force (BSF), Western Command, Harbax Singh Dhillon said.
Dhillon made this statement after Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma launched his book "BSF and Meghalaya - Through the Lens of a Borderman" at Shillong Literary Festival in the iconic Wards Lake on Friday.
The book is not just about photography, it's an encyclopaedia about the people, places, customs, cuisine, history and culture. Almost every page (250) of the book has a description and also brief historical background, but importantly, it's his poems that add a personal touch to the book.
