Shillong, Oct. 16 -- Special Director General, BSF (Eastern Command), Kolkata, Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal, visited bordering areas and Border Outposts (BOPs) along the India-Bangladesh border with Meghalaya.

A BSF spokesman said that during his four-day visit (October 13-16), Aggarwal reviewed the border security architecture and assessed operational preparedness with field commanders and troopers deployed in forward areas.

During the visit, Aggarwal toured several Border Outposts (BOPs), halted overnight with troops in forward areas. He commended the high morale and professionalism of BSF personnel, and emphasized the importance of vigilance, coordination, and combat readiness to ensure a seamless border grid.
