Hyderabad, Sept. 22 -- Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K T Rama Rao today assured full support to farmers affected by the Regional Ring Road (RRR) alignment in Nalgonda, Suryapet, Gajwel and Sangareddy constituencies.
Meeting with the victims at Telangana Bhavan, KTR said the party would fight on their behalf both inside and outside the legislature.
Accompanied by former minister Jagadish Reddy and other leaders, KTR accused the Congress of betraying farmers after promising ahead of elections that the RRR would not harm their interests.
"Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi gave assurances before polls, but after coming to power, the Congress government changed the alignment, inflicting severe losses on farmers," he said.
