Hyderabad, Feb. 4 -- The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) staged a walkout from the Telangana Assembly on Tuesday, protesting what it called the Congress government's "betrayal" of Backward Classes (BCs) and weaker sections.

Leading the protest, BRS Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) accused the government of conspiring to reduce the BC population by five percent, thereby depriving them of their due representation and benefits.

KTR expressed strong opposition to the government's handling of the BC population count, alleging that the weaker sections of society were denied an opportunity to present their arguments and grievances in the Assembly.
