Hyderabad, June 1 -- BRS MLC K. Kavitha on Sunday wrote an open letter to Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy demanding the cancellation of tenders related to monsoon emergency and instant repair teams in Greater Hyderabad, alleging bias and irregularities in the process.

She claimed that GHMC engineering officials are favouring a foreign vehicle company, sidelining Telangana-based BC contractors.

According to her, the tender norms unfairly mandate the use of vehicles from a firm with only two showrooms in Hyderabad, whose managers are reportedly unwilling to collaborate with local contractors. Even those who secured MoUs from Karnataka dealers are being pressured to submit hard copies in an unreasonably short time.
