Hyderabad, March 21 -- BRS MLA Harish Rao strongly criticised the Congress government for failing to fulfill promises made before the elections in the name of change.
Speaking during the general discussion on the 2025-26 budget in the Legislative Assembly on Friday, he accused the ruling party of misleading people and failing to deliver on key commitments.
Harish Rao pointed out that the government had promised to implement the Layout Regularization Scheme (LRS) for free but is now collecting hefty fees from the public. He also questioned the loan waiver scheme, stating that while the government claimed Rs 31,000 crore had been mobilised for loan waivers, only Rs 20,000 crore was waived.
