Hyderabad, June 20 -- Congress MP Chamala Kiran launched a scathing attack on the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), accusing the party and its leaders of politicising the sensitive issue of water and doing grave injustice to Telangana during their tenure.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, here today, Kiran alleged that former minister Harish Rao is now attempting to shift the blame onto KCR, making him appear as the villain in the eyes of the public.
"BRS leaders politicised the word 'water' instead of addressing the real issues. Their lack of basic knowledge is reflected in how they handled irrigation projects," he said.
