Gorakhpur, Oct. 23 -- The festive joy of Bhai Dooj turned into mourning after a heart-wrenching road accident on the Link expressway in the Khajni police station area claimed the lives of a brother and sister, police said on Thursday.
According to reports, around 7 pm on Wednesday, a speeding Kia car lost control near the Bhagwanpur Toll Plaza and rammed into a motorcycle carrying the siblings. The impact was so severe that both riders died on the spot, while the car later crashed into the road divider.
The deceased were identified as Nilesh alias Nikki (22), son of Lalchand, and his elder sister Neelam (28), wife of Gautam, residents of Barwar Dihwa village in Sant Kabir Nagar district. They had come to Gorakhpur to visit relatives and w...
