Cape town, Dec. 18 -- South Africa batter Tazmin Brits is keen to defy her age and continue playing until the next edition of the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup.

Brits was a relatively late starter to cricket, with the former javelin star not making her international debut until 2019 and her first ODI match didn't come until 2021, accordingto the ICC.

Since then Brits has appeared at consecutive 50-over World Cups in 2022 and 2025 and the 34-year-old played a major role in helping the Proteas into the title decider against India in Navi Mumbai last month when she scored 235 runs across the tournament that included a superb century against New Zealand.

But despite the next edition of the World Cup being four years away, Brits has no plans ...
