London, Jan. 4 -- British and French air forces conducted a joint operation on Saturday evening to bomb a suspected underground arms storage facility previously used by the Islamic State (IS) group in Syria, the British Defence Ministry said.
The British Ministry of Defence in a statement disclosed that it cooperated with France to strike the facility that had likely been used by the Islamic State group to store weapons.
"Royal Air Force aircraft have completed successful strikes against Daesh in a joint operation with France," said the statement.
"This facility had been occupied by Daesh, most likely to store weapons and explosives. The area around the facility is devoid of any civilian habitation," the statement added.
