New Delhi, Jan. 20 -- As the national capital region continues to grapple with the air pollution crisis, union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav on Tuesday said that all NCR cities should be brought under the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) framework.
The remarks were made during a meeting headed by the minister to review the action plans of Rohtak, Manesar, Panipat and Karnal to combat the pollution woes faced by the NCR cities, which intensify during the winter months.
According to an official document, Yadav also urged increasing the pollution monitoring stations in the region, calling for an integration with the SAMEER app, the national pollution reporting app, to allow real-time monitoring of the air quality.
