Mumbai, May 7 -- Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) on Wednesday said that they have awarded contracts for the development of 100 MW Windfarm Projects-50 MW each in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
It is a major step in BPCL's strategy to transition to renewable energy and reduce reliance on imported fossil-based power.
The Letter of Award (LOA) has been issued to M/s Suzlon Energy Limited for the 50 MW wind project in Madhya Pradesh and to M/s Integrum Energy Infrastructure Limited for the 50 MW project in Maharashtra.
These projects are expected to be completed and commissioned within two years, a company release said.
