Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 14 -- Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 6,839.02 crore for the first quarter of FY 2025-26, a sharp 140.64 percent jump from Rs 2,841.55 crore in the same period last year.
On a standalone basis, the company posted a net profit of Rs 6,123.93 crore, up from Rs 3,014.77 crore in Q1 of FY 2024-25, a release said.
BPCL attributed the robust performance to strong refinery throughput, improved marketing margins, solid sales growth, and operational efficiency.
The company registered a Gross Refining Margin (GRM) of USD 4.88 per barrel in the current quarter, compared to USD 7.86 per barrel in Q1 of FY 2024-25.
