Hoshiarpur, April 27 -- A 13-year-old boy, who was allegedly abducted by his tutor about one-and- a-half months ago, has been rescued by the police, who also arrested the kidnapper from near the Nepal border, officials said on Sunday.

SI Gursahib Singh said the boy, a native of Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh, was currently living with his parents in a rented accommodation in Hoshiarpur. Studying in Class 7, the boy used to take tuition from Bhupinder Singh (51), a resident of Dashmesh Nagar, daily between 3 pm and 7:30 pm. According to the police, Bhupinder Singh convinced the boy's parents to allow him to take the child to Shimla for two days.
