Both Houses of Bihar Legislature adjourned sine die

Patna, July 25 -- Both Houses of the Bihar Legislature were adjourned sine die today after the end of its short monsoon session.

Started on July 21, there were five sittings of both the Houses during its monsoon session.

As the Bihar Assembly assembled for its post-lunch sitting, opposition members raised the issue of alleged irregularities in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. They created a noisy scene in the House, targeting the Election Commission and the government for jeopardising the rights of the people to exercise their franchise, just before the next Bihar assembly elections slated for October-November this year.
