New Delhi, Aug. 11 -- Both the Houses of Parliament were adjourned for the Day following repeated disruptions by Opposition members over allegations of vote tampering.
As soon as the House reconvened at 2 PM, Opposition members began creating a ruckus, raising slogans like "We want justice" and holding placards with No SIR written on them. With the noisy scene continuing, presiding officer Sandhya Ray adjourned the House until 4 PM.
When the proceedings resumed at 4 PM, agitating Opposition members again raised slogans and trooped into the Well of the House making noise with allegations of vote tampering.
Amidst the chaos, the Chair managed to get two bills passed.
