Rio De Janeiro, June 11 -- Argentine forward Joaquin Correa has joined Botafogo on a free transfer after parting ways with Inter Milan, the Brazilian Serie A club said.

The 30-year-old agreed to a deal that runs until December 2027 and will be available for the FIFA Club World Cup, starting this weekend in the United States, Botafogo said in a statement on Tuesday.

Correa, who has 20 Argentina caps, made 99 appearances for Inter Milan and scored 12 goals after joining the club from Lazio.

Botafogo will begin its Club World Cup campaign against Seattle Sounders on Sunday, and will also face Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid in the group stage.
