Sarajevo, April 4 -- The United States has imposed sweeping tariffs on imports worldwide, with Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) facing tariffs of up to 36 per cent on all exports to the US, a move expected to impact the country's trade, particularly its defence industry. According to the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, in 2024, BiH exports to the U.S. totalled 234.5 million KM (132.3 million U.S. dollars), with the defence industry making up more than 60 per cent of exports, followed by the metal, electrical, chemical, food, and wood industries.
