Haveri, July 16 -- Former Karnataka Chief Minister and BJP MP Basavaraj Bommai today alleged that the Congress party's upcoming Siddaramaiah-led Mysuru convention on July 19 is less about showcasing governance achievements and more about masking its growing internal discord.

Addressing mediapersons, Bommai claimed, "The convention is being organised to manage the power struggle within the Congress party, not to present any developmental success. Earlier, they attempted a similar show of strength in Hassan. Now the focus has shifted to Mysuru, clearly indicating that all is not well within their ranks."
