Hubballi, Oct. 4 -- BJP MP and former Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai today launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, accusing him of spreading falsehoods regarding Goods and Services Tax (GST) compensation and ignoring the funds already released by the Centre.
Addressing reporters in Haveri, Bommai said the Centre had already clarified the GST compensation issue, yet Siddaramaiah was "repeating lies in the hope that they may be mistaken as truth." He challenged the Chief Minister's assertion that the Centre owed Rs 11,000 crore to Karnataka, demanding documentary proof for the figure.
