Bhubaneswar, Jan. 8 -- Bomb threats received by several courts in Odisha on Thursday were found to be a hoax, State Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan confirmed.
Following a thorough search of the affected courts, normal judicial work resumed, he said.
Advocate General Pitambar Acharya said the work in the Orissa high court also resumed in three courts immediately after a search operation by the security personnel.
The threats, sent via anonymous emails, targeted the district courts in Cuttack, Sambalpur, and Deogarh. Immediately after receiving the alerts, Odisha Police launched intensive search operations with the assistance of bomb disposal squads and sniffer dogs.
