Chandigarh, Jan. 8 -- A massive security operation was launched across Punjab and Himachal Pradesh on Thursday after bomb threat emails were received by district court complexes in Ferozepur, Moga, and Ropar, as well as the Himachal Pradesh High Court.

The coordinated threats triggered panic, prompting the immediate evacuation of judges, lawyers, court staff, and litigants from all affected judicial buildings.

According to Punjab Police sources, the threatening emails were sent to the official email IDs of the District and Sessions Judges. Following the alerts, security agencies swiftly cordoned off the premises and suspended all judicial proceedings.
