Bidar (Karnataka), July 21 -- Panic and heightened security measures have gripped the historic Gurdwara Nanak Jhira Sahib in Bidar after two separate bomb threat emails were received within 48 hours, raising serious concerns among devotees and authorities. Speaking to media, Puneet Singh, director of the Gurdwara Management Committee, confirmed that this is the first time the revered Sikh pilgrimage centre in South India has faced such threats. "We received one threatening mail on the morning of July 18, and a second one today. Both emails warned of bombs being planted in the Sarovar area and a building on the premises, with claims of intended blasts," he said.
