Hyderabad, May 9 -- A bomb threat sent via email to the administrative wing of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIa), Shamshabad, near Hyderabad caused a major security scare on Friday.

The message warned that bombs had been planted at the airport by a "terror sleeper cell" and could detonate at any moment.

Upon receiving the threat, CISF personnel, local police, bomb squads, and airport officials swiftly launched a thorough search operation across the airport and surrounding areas. After extensive checks, no explosives were found, much to the relief of passengers and staff.
