Mumbai, Nov. 24 -- The demise of Bollywood legend Dharmendra on Monday cast a sombre shadow over the Hindi film industry, as actors and filmmakers remembered a man whose influence spanned generations.
Shedding tears, Dharmendra's colleagues and juniors took to social media to bid him their last farewell.
Filmmaker Karan Johar on his Instagram account described Dharmendra's death as the end of an era, calling him a megastar who epitomised the heroic charm of mainstream Indian media. Johar further stated that the late star is and will always be a "bona fide legend of Indian Cinema", a defining source and richly present in the pages of cinema history, "but mostly he was the best human being".
