La Paz, Aug. 9 -- Bolivia and Russia will meet in a friendly at Dynamo Moscow's VTB Arena on October 14, both countries' football federations said.

It will be the latest in a series of friendlies for Valery Karpin's side, which drew with Nigeria and beat Belarus in June following consecutive 5-0 victories over Grenada and Zambia in March.

Russia, which is barred from next year's FIFA World Cup, is also due to face Jordan and Qatar in September, and Iran on October 6.

Bolivia is currently eighth in South America's 10-team World Cup qualifying group and remains hopeful of securing a berth in football's showpiece tournament for the first time since 1994.
