Ranchi, July 31 -- The mortal remains of Rameshwar Mahto, a migrant worker from Jharkhand who died in Kuwait last month, arrived at Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi this afternoon, following coordinated efforts by the Jharkhand government.
Mahto, a resident of Bandkharo village under Vishnugarh block in Hazaribagh district, had been employed for the past 12 years with M/s IMCO Engineering & Construction Company in Kuwait. He passed away on June 15 due to cardiac and respiratory arrest.
The process to bring back his body was initiated after his wife, Pramila Devi, submitted a formal request on June 19 to the Migrant Control Cell operating under the Labour, Employment, Training and Skill Development Department of the Jharkhand government.
