Varanasi, March 19 -- As thousands of devotees and tourists visit the religious city of Kashi every day to visit Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham, to perform aarti of Maa Ganga and to see the beauty of the ghats, disputes often arise regarding boarding boats and complaints of charging extra fare from tourists.
To resolve these problems and strengthen the security system, Police Commissioner Mohit Agarwal has issued strict instructions.
In a meeting with boatmen held in the traffic auditorium on Wednesday, the Police Commissioner clarified that now no boat will be operated in the Ganga without life jacket or registration.
