Raigad, July 26 -- A major sea accident was reported from Raigad district, with a boat tragically sinking near Khanderi Fort today, with eight people on board. Five of the boat's crew have been rescued.
The boat was taken out for fishing today. The accident occurred when the boat capsized due to strong waves during low tide.
Out of the eight passengers, five have been rescued and are receiving treatment at a hospital. However, three people are still missing and a search operation is ongoing on by the administration.
It is reported that heavy rainfall is hindering the rescue operation.
