Bahraich, Oct. 29 -- A boat carrying more than 15 people capsized in the Kaudiyala River near Bharathapur village, located within the Katerniaghat Wildlife Range, in this district today evening, leaving more than 10 people missing.
Four people have been rescued safely so far.
The incident occurred under the Sujauli police station area.
Locals from Bharathapur regularly travel by boat to Khairtiya village in Lakhimpur district across the river. Around 6 pm this evening, a boat carrying more than 15 people was returning from Khairtiya to Bharathapur when it overturned near the village.
Among those rescued are Laxmi Narayan, Rani Devi, Jyoti and Harimohan. Those reported missing include the boatman Mihilal (son of Puttilal) and over 10 oth...
