Dhaka, Dec. 14 -- Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir urged the Interim Government to ensure maintenance of law and order in Bangladesh over the next two months, as the 13th national elections draw near.
Confirming that the party's acting Chairman, son of party chief and former PM Khaleda Zia, Tarique Rahman, was returning to the country within a few days, Alamgir, in a Facebook post said, "Our acting Chairman, Tarique Rahman, is returning to Bangladesh on 25th December."Calling the moment "a special day for BNP, Begum Khaleda Zia, her family, and the nation," the party leader further charged the interim govt to further ensure that Rahman is provided adequate security.
