Dhaka, Aug. 20 -- Ahead of the upcoming national polls in the country, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) today submitted the draft of the July Charter to the country's Reforms Commission or its 'National Consensus Commission', reports Dhaka Tribune.
The draft was submitted to the bodyby a BNP delegation led by the party's Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed.
The submission comes on the same day the National Consensus Commission extended the deadline by two days.
The political body was formed in the aftermath of the July Uprising last year by the interim government of Chief Advisor Mohammed Yunus, to overhaul or rework several institutions to reflect the 'aspirations' of the July movement.
