Dhaka, July 11 -- Ruling out any alliance with the Jamaat-e-Islami in the upcoming national elections, senior Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) leader Salahuddin Ahmed has however said that the BNP is ready to hold talks with the National Citizen Party (NCP).

In an interview with UNB agency, Salahuddin expressed confidence that the interim government will hold the national election by mid-February next year as he thinks various political parties are raising demands around the polls as part of their broader political strategies.
