Dhaka, Dec. 25 -- BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, who returned to Bangladesh after 17 years of exile in the UK, has announced plans to visit the grave of his father and former military ruler Gen Ziaur Rahman on Friday.
The programme is scheduled to begin late afternoon, following the Juma prayers, with the party's media wing announcing that Rahman will offer prayers for the eternal peace of his father's soul at the mausoleum in Dhaka.
After paying respects to the party founder, the BNP leader will head off to National Martyrs' Memorial in Savar, to place wreaths in honour of all those who died in the 1971 Liberation War.
