Mumbai, Dec. 22 -- The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is set to deploy artificial intelligence (AI) to track and manage Mumbai's stray dog population with an aim to improve the health, mobility, and behaviour of stray dogs, as well as enhance public safety, sources in the civic body said on Monday .
The AI system will photograph dogs to build identification profiles, and after vaccination and sterilization, fit them with special sensors.
The data of the same will be collected from CCTV cameras, drones, mobile applications, and manually captured images to analyze movement patterns and identify areas with high dog populations.
