Mumbai, Nov. 24 -- The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to re-evaluate its massive Rs 4,165-crore tender for garbage collection and disposal services across Mumbai after several bidders raised strong objections.
Municipal officials confirmed that multiple companies participating in the tender process have demanded a substantial hike in the contract value, seeking increases between 40 and 64 percent. According to these bidders, completing the extensive waste management work within the approved financial limits would not be feasible.
