Mumbai, Dec. 30 -- The Bombay Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued a stop-work notice to the new Bombay High Court building complex located in Bandra due to non-compliance with air pollution mitigation norms during demolition, an official said on Tuesday.
The notice was issued after the BMC's inspection squad found that only two of the 28-point guidelines were adhered to at the construction site, which spans 26.44 acres.
This action is part of BMC's ongoing crackdown on pollution, with 78 stop-work notices issued to construction sites in Byculla and Borivali East earlier this month.
It may be recalled that the Bombay High Court is also monitoring the city air pollution issue.
